Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the figure of Bernardo de Monteagudo from his role as a editor. The aim is to unravel his intervention strategies in the public sphere through an analysis of the newspapers he published and edited throughout his revolutionary trajectory. At the same time, we will pay special attention to the changes in these strategies as a result of the transformations of the different political contexts and conjunctures he had to go through. In this way, we seek to contribute, based on a case study, to the research area that questions the role of intellectuals within the context of the Revolution and War process.
